[Video] 15-Year-Old Allie Rae Goes Viral With Lainey Wilson Cover on The Voice: Coach Calls Her a 'Little Mini Reba'

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · Society · GSM News

On November 2, NBC's The Voice aired the first-ever Cut Week of its 30th season, and 15-year-old Allie Rae of Texas, competing on Team Riley Green, covered Lainey Wilson's hit "4X4XU." Coaches Kelly Clarkson and Riley Green praised the performance on air, and video of it has drawn nearly half a million views on TikTok alone.

Under the Cut Week format, each coach first sent two artists straight through to the Live Shows, leaving five to sing for the last spot on each team. Clarkson told Rae after her performance: "Girl, you are 15 years old. That's crazy. Regardless of what happens right now, you are so far ahead of the game. You are going to be incredible." Green said: "Everything about it was great, like a little mini Reba. You're so fierce. We got to see the best version of you in that performance." Speaking to the cameras afterward, he added that Rae had grown quickly since the Blind Auditions and that her stage presence did not feel like that of a 15-year-old.

Green ultimately gave his team's final Live Shows spot to Joe Henley, so Rae did not advance directly. Under the show's rules, she joins the other 15 artists cut this week in an audience save vote; the single highest vote-getter will take the final place in the Top 13, with the result to be revealed next week.

"4X4XU" is a single released by Lainey Wilson in 2024. Rae auditioned with Alannah Myles' "Black Velvet" and advanced through the Battles to reach Cut Week. Season 30's coaches are Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah and Riley Green, and the show airs Monday nights on NBC. NBC's official channel has posted her full performance on YouTube, and it is embedded with this story.
