Brooklyn Beckham Deletes Halloween Photo After 'Third Wheel' Jibes, Then Hits Back at Commenters
After a celebrity Halloween party in Los Angeles, California, over Halloween weekend, Brooklyn Beckham, 27, shared a set of party photos on Instagram. In one group shot he stood behind his wife, Nicola Peltz, and their friend Damian Hurley, and a flood of commenters mocked him for looking like an outsider in his own picture. According to The Sun, Beckham deleted that photo from his Instagram grid just hours after posting it.
In the photos, Beckham was dressed as Superman, in a costume with fake abs and Clark Kent-style glasses; Peltz, 31, was dressed as Catwoman in a leather top and matching trousers; and Hurley, 24, wore an all-leather black outfit unzipped to the waist. According to Entertainment Daily, Hurley's look took inspiration from Michael Jackson. In the photo that drew the reaction, Hurley had an arm around Peltz's waist while Beckham stood behind the pair with his hands tucked into his pockets.
The comments turned mocking quickly. Among the Instagram remarks recorded by The Sun and Nicki Swift, one follower wrote, "Bless him he looks like a spare part," another said, "Brooklyn looks so out of place," and others wrote, "Superman looks out of place in every photo!" and "Why is she wearing a matching costume with some other guy?" On Hurley's own post, one commenter wrote that the husband "looks like the little brother she's been told to take with her trick or treating."
Hurley did not delete his post: the photo of himself with Peltz remains on his page and has drawn similar surprised comments. According to Nicki Swift, Hurley is a longtime friend of both; his mother, actor Elizabeth Hurley, is a godmother to Brooklyn, and the two men have known each other for years.
Hours later, Beckham hit back with a photo of Peltz looking shocked. According to Entertainment Daily, citing MailOnline, his caption read: "Yeah, I am obsessed with my wife. Bring on the comments, I don't care. She's perfect xx." He also added fingers-up emojis to the post.
The photos set off a second thread of comment as well: some fans said Peltz's Catwoman look resembled the black catsuit Victoria Beckham wore in the Spice Girls' 1996 "Say You'll Be There" music video, leaving remarks such as "Say You'll Be There — part two" and "Why does she look like Vicky Beckham?" Beckham and Peltz married in 2022 and renewed their wedding vows in August 2025.
