Downtown Salt Lake City Pitches Family Cultural Trips Beyond the Ski Slopes

Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah — A November 3 feature promoted downtown Salt Lake City as a family destination beyond its world-class skiing and snowboarding, pointing to museums, wildlife and hands-on learning, and noting that Utah tourism generated a record $13.7 billion in visitor spending in 2025.
Downtown, families can spend an afternoon under the dome at Clark Planetarium or let younger children play and learn at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, both at The Gateway, with TRAX light rail linking downtown stops so visitors can move around without driving.
Families can also visit Utah's Hogle Zoo, plan a day trip to the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, or head to Utah Olympic Park in Park City, a venue of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The promoters said Salt Lake City suits family trips in every season.
