Denver Chinese Restaurant MAKfam Marks Two Years: Classics Return, 25 Red Envelopes a Day

Denver, Colorado — MAKfam, a Chinese restaurant in Denver's Baker neighborhood, is celebrating its second anniversary with limited-time offerings on November 3 and November 5 through 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Local dining media reported that the restaurant will bring back classic dishes including crab and cheese wontons, salt-and-pepper chicken and spicy garlic butter rice cakes, and will give red envelopes to the first 25 diners each day, containing merchandise, house-made chili oil, drink vouchers and one special gift card worth $200.
MAKfam is run by chef Ken Wan and his wife and partner Doris Yuen. It began as Meta Asian Kitchen, opened in October 2019 at Avanti Denver, before moving to its current home, where its Hong Kong toast, flaming cocktails and spicy wings have drawn a following.
