Serco Wins Army Command Post Modernization Task Order: More Than 200 New Positions to Support Wider Fielding

Herndon-based Serco Inc. announced on November 3 that it has been awarded a task order to support the U.S. Army's Command Post Modernization (CPMod) program, delivering mobile, scalable and agile command-and-control (C2) capabilities to tactical formations.

The task order was issued under the Army's Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) contract and expands Serco's role in a program the company has supported since 2019.

Under the task order, Serco will provide program management, engineering, integration, testing, logistics, training and sustainment to support broader fielding of command posts across operational formations. Its responsibilities include integrating hardware and software onto tactical vehicle platforms, fabricating and installing A-kit components that form the foundational infrastructure for mission equipment, conducting system testing and validation, and managing logistics and fielding activities.

The CPMod program enables the Army's Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) concept by developing and integrating more survivable command posts. Amanda Miller, vice president for Serco North America's Systems Integration and Installation portfolio, said the Army is transforming how commanders operate on today's battlefield, and that the company aims to increase deployment speed, survivability and technical innovation for warfighters.

Serco said it expects to add more than 200 positions to support the work. The company did not disclose the value of the task order in its release.
