Culver City Vote Centers Open Until 8 PM on Election Day: Three Local Measures on the Ballot, First Results Expected After 8:30 PM

The City of Culver City, in Los Angeles County, California, reminded residents on November 3 that today is Election Day for the 2026 general election: vote centers across the city are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and voters can also return completed ballots at official ballot drop boxes until 8 p.m.
Culver City's four vote centers are located at City Hall (9770 Culver Blvd, first floor), BioscienceLA (4130 Overland Ave), Rotary Plaza (5100 Overland Ave) and West Los Angeles College (9000 Overland Ave); Los Angeles County residents may vote at any participating vote center in the county. Ballot drop boxes, open until 8 p.m., are at Culver West Alexander Park, Fox Hills Parkette, the Julian Dixon Library and West Los Angeles College. After polls close at 8 p.m., the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will begin reporting results, with the first results expected between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m., reflecting vote-by-mail ballots received before Election Day.
Culver City voters will elect two members of the City Council to four-year terms and consider three local ballot measures: Measure YV, a proposed charter amendment to lower the voting age to 16 for city and school district elections; Measure AA, an initiative ordinance proposing a special parcel tax of $0.48 per square foot for 10 years, estimated to generate approximately $18 million annually for Culver City public schools; and Measure T, a proposed ordinance to increase the transient occupancy tax paid by hotel and motel guests from 14% to 15%, and then to 16% beginning March 1, 2028. The city noted that Election Night results are preliminary and that ballot counting and verification will continue in the days and weeks following Election Day.
