Phoenix Council: Hodge Washington and Robinson Win Big, Districts 2 and 4 Likely Headed to Runoffs

Phoenix, Arizona, voted on November 3 for city council seats in Districts 2, 4, 6 and 8. Unofficial Maricopa County returns show District 8 Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington re-elected in a landslide with 24,239 votes, 72.38 percent, and District 6 incumbent Kevin Robinson also winning by a wide margin.
In District 2, Matt Evans moved into the lead as later ballots were counted, ahead of Danny Mazza and Julie Read, but no candidate won a majority, putting the seat on course for a March 9, 2027 runoff.
In District 4, attorney Ed Hermes held a commanding lead over Ashley Harder; if no candidate finishes above 50 percent plus one vote, that district will also go to a March runoff.
The new council terms begin April 19, 2027. All results are unofficial until the formal canvass.
