Houston Symphony Plays Shostakovich's Ninth November 6-8: Concertmaster Yoonshin Song in Prokofiev
Jones Hall for the Performing Arts (615 Louisiana St) in Houston, Harris County, Texas, hosts Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9 on November 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and November 8 at 2 p.m., with Emmanuel Tjeknavorian conducting the Houston Symphony.
Concertmaster Yoonshin Song is the soloist in Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2; Shostakovich's mischievous Ninth pairs with the Prokofiev's brooding drama and energy.
Tickets are sold through the Houston Symphony website and the Jones Hall box office; see the seating pages for prices.
