Valcuha Leads 'Sheherazade' and Prokofiev's Seventh in Houston November 27-29
Jones Hall (615 Louisiana St) in Houston, Harris County, Texas, hosts Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherazade and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 7 on November 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and November 29 at 2 p.m., with Music Director Juraj Valčuha conducting the Houston Symphony.
Mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke joins the Thanksgiving-weekend program, which the orchestra bills as a sumptuous musical feast; the concertmaster's violin solos thread through Sheherazade's tales of sea and love.
Tickets are sold through the Houston Symphony website and the Jones Hall box office; see the seating pages for prices.
