Broncos Make Five Practice Squad Moves in One Day, Bringing Back Patterson, Amadi and Miller

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

The Denver Broncos made five practice squad moves on November 4 as they prepared for Week 9. The team re-signed running back Jaret Patterson, defensive back Ugo Amadi and defensive tackle Jordan Miller. Safety Taylor Rapp had been promoted to the 53-man roster, opening one practice squad spot; to make room for Amadi and Miller, the team released wide receivers Eli Pancol and Cam Ross.

After the moves, both the 17-man practice squad and the 53-man roster are full. The practice squad now carries two running backs, including the returning Patterson. With R.J. Harvey (knee) and Tyler Badie (thumb) on injured reserve, the active roster has only J.K. Dobbins and Jonah Coleman at running back, so Patterson's return provides emergency depth. Badie can return as early as Week 12 and Harvey in Week 13.

Injuries at running back have dogged Denver all season, making practice squad flexibility a key tool for maintaining depth.
