World of Warcraft: Forever Launches Globally Today: A Reimagined Original Azeroth With 1,000+ New Quests and the New Skyborne Race
Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft: Forever launched globally on November 4, 2026, with servers in the Americas opening at 3:00 p.m. PST (23:00 UTC) and Europe, Taiwan, Korea and ANZ following across November 4-5 local time. The game runs as a permanent home alongside modern World of Warcraft and WoW Classic, and access is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time.
Set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, Forever takes players across the original continents of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor on a journey from level 1 to level 60. Blizzard said the reimagined world expands the original zones with new destinations including Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, the Riverglades and Zephras Isle, and adds more than 1,000 new quests across the 1-60 journey, with the Riverglades alone contributing more than 150 quests for the mid-30s to mid-40s range.
The new playable race, the Skyborne (shen'dorei), debuts with a level 1-12 starting experience on Zephras Isle. Players can join the Horde-aligned Windshapers, who can become Shamans, or the Alliance-aligned High-Order Skyborne, who can become Mages. New race-class combinations also open up, including Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans.
On systems, players pick an experience preset (Classic or Enhanced) and a ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplay or Roleplay PvP) at first login, with a Hardcore ruleset to follow after launch. The game also adds a Camping system, the account-wide Legacy progression system and a two-name character naming structure.
Forever launches with nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13 to 60 and a new 15-versus-15 battleground, Battle for the Darkspear Islands. Three level-60 raids, Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair, are scheduled to open on December 9.
