The National Weather Service (NWS) on November 4, 2026, issued winter weather advisories for Colorado's high country. Advisories from the Denver, Pueblo and Grand Junction offices cover the mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, the Indian Peaks, South Park, the Sawatch Mountains and Pikes Peak, in effect from 2 p.m. on November 4 until between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on November 5.

The Denver office's advisory, updated at 4:53 a.m. MST on November 4, expects total snow accumulations of 3 to 10 inches across the mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, the Indian Peaks and South Park, with locally higher amounts possible for the Mosquito Range. Roads will become slippery in spots, including the US 285 corridor, and the hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening commute.

The Pueblo office's advisory, issued at 4:49 a.m., covers the Eastern Sawatch Mountains and Pikes Peak above 11,000 feet and high terrain in Chaffee and Lake counties, with 4 to 9 inches of snow and locally up to 11 inches possible through 5 a.m. on November 5; travel could be very difficult. The Grand Junction office's advisory targets the Gore and Elk Mountains above 10,000 feet, with 4 to 8 inches and locally higher amounts, and warns that bridges and overpasses will likely become slick and hazardous.

The Weather Service urges drivers to slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for Colorado can be obtained by calling 511 or visiting COtrip.
