The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut announced on November 4 that Conrod Davy, 41, a citizen of Jamaica last residing in Bridgeport, Connecticut, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Sarala V. Nagala in Hartford to fentanyl trafficking and false statement offenses. U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan and Jarod Forget, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England, announced the plea.

According to court documents and statements made in court, a Drug Enforcement Administration Hartford Task Force investigation revealed that Davy was trafficking large quantities of fentanyl and was involved in the processing and packing of fentanyl. On April 24, 2026, investigators conducted a controlled purchase of approximately two kilograms of fentanyl from Davy.

Davy was arrested on April 30, 2026. After his arrest, he told investigators that he was a U.S. citizen named Timothy Stater and provided a false date of birth. The investigation revealed that Davy was a Jamaican citizen and had been removed from the United States in November 2019 as a result of a criminal conviction in Florida.

Davy pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, which carries a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison, and one count of making false statements and representations, which carries a maximum of five years. Davy has been detained since his arrest.

The investigation was conducted by the DEA Hartford Task Force, which includes personnel from the DEA Hartford Resident Office, the Connecticut State Police, and the Bristol, Hartford, East Hartford, Enfield, Manchester, New Britain, Rocky Hill, Wethersfield and Windsor Locks police departments. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Geoffrey M. Stone. (Source: U.S. Department of Justice)
