Confluent Introduces Streamhouse Architecture to Give Super Intelligence (SI) Agents Real-Time Business Context

Confluent, an IBM company based in the San Francisco Bay Area, announced new capabilities on November 4 for building a Streamhouse, a new type of data architecture that keeps business context current for super intelligence (SI) agents, applications and analytics as they make decisions and take action. The company said a Streamhouse gives agents and applications a governed view of the current state of the business at machine speed, addressing the risk of acting on outdated or conflicting information spread across systems that update at different times.
With new Query capabilities, Confluent said its Data Streaming Platform is now a complete, unified platform for building a Streamhouse, bringing together Stream, Connect, Process, Govern and Query. Its Lightning Tables feature, now generally available on AWS, lets customers query live streaming data directly in Confluent with low latency, reducing the need to copy data into a separate database to serve applications.
Confluent contrasted Streamhouse with data lakes, warehouses and lakehouses built mainly for reporting and batch jobs, saying that as agents take on more enterprise work, decisions must rest on current, consistent information. The company sits at the center of IBM's data strategy, combining real-time data streaming with IBM's integration, governance and super intelligence (SI) capabilities across hybrid environments.
