MSG Entertainment Revenue Surges 37% to $217.1 Million as The Garden Posts a Record Concert Quarter

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: MSGE) reported on November 4 its fiscal 2027 first-quarter results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026: revenues of $217.1 million, an increase of $58.9 million, or 37%, compared with the prior-year quarter, and operating income of $9.7 million, a swing from an operating loss a year earlier. Billboard's report on the results highlighted Harry Styles' performances as a driver of the quarter's revenue surge.
The company said the quarter featured a diverse slate of live entertainment across its venues, including a new company record for the number of concerts in any quarter at the Madison Square Garden Arena (The Garden). After quarter-end, the New York Knicks and New York Rangers began their 2026-27 regular seasons at The Garden, and the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall will stage 231 performances this holiday season, up from 215 in fiscal 2026.
Entertainment offerings revenue rose 33% to $174.9 million, with concert revenue up $30.1 million on more concerts at The Garden and higher per-concert revenue, partially offset by fewer concerts at the company's theaters. Food, beverage and merchandise revenue jumped 56% to $35.6 million.
Executive Chairman and CEO James L. Dolan said the business is off to a strong start in fiscal 2027, that the company expects its live entertainment offerings to keep benefiting from healthy demand, and that it remains well positioned to drive robust growth in both revenue and adjusted operating income this fiscal year.
