Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · States · GSM News

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine ordered on November 4 in Columbus that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio be flown at half-staff at all public buildings and grounds throughout North Royalton, the Ohio Statehouse, the Vern Riffe Center, and the Rhodes State Office Tower, in honor of the life and service of North Royalton Firefighter Ryan Milligan. The flags are to remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of his funeral.

The governor's office said all other public buildings and grounds throughout the state may also fly the flags at half-staff at their discretion for the same period. The release did not state the cause of Milligan's death or the date of his funeral.
