Lake Elsinore Tree Lighting and Winterfest Set for Dec. 3: Two Holiday Events on Downtown Main Street
The City of Lake Elsinore in Riverside County, California, has listed its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony for Thursday, December 3, at 6 p.m. on Downtown Main Street, according to the city's official special events calendar. The same day, Winterfest runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. downtown, putting two holiday events back to back in one evening.
The tree lighting is the city's annual tradition marking the start of the holiday season, when the downtown holiday lights are officially switched on. Winterfest spans four and a half hours and is scheduled the same day so residents can take in both events in a single trip.
Both events appear on the city's official special events calendar, and details are available from the city's Special Events office. The city notes that downtown crowds and traffic will be heavier than usual around Main Street during the events, and attendees should plan parking and arrival times ahead.
Earlier in the season, the city will also hold its Veterans Day Observance Ceremony on November 11 at 9:00 a.m. at Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium.
