Boyfriend Charged With Murder of Woman Missing Since 2025: Body Not Found, Separate Assault Counts Filed

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in California announced on November 2 that Delorean Bijon Brandon, 41, has been charged with murder in the case of his girlfriend Christina Downer, 38, who has been missing since September 2025 and whose body has not been found. The case number is 26CJCF07003, and both defendants were arraigned on November 2 in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center in the City of Los Angeles.
Prosecutors allege Brandon killed Downer on or about September 19, 2025. He faces one count of murder and two felony counts of injuring a spouse. His girlfriend, Kaylee Markowski, 34, is charged with one felony count of accessory after the fact; prosecutors allege she helped dispose of the victim's body. Brandon is also charged with two assaults on his wife in 2022.
If convicted, Brandon faces life in state prison and Markowski faces up to three years in county jail. "More than a year has passed since Christina Downer vanished…" District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Hilary Williams of the Major Crimes Division, and the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division continues to investigate.
The District Attorney's Office stressed that the charges are allegations only, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
