Agoura Road Intermittent Full Closures Through Nov. 30 for Wildlife Crossing Work: No Through Traffic

According to a California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) construction advisory, Agoura Road between Rondell Street and Hydepark Drive in Agoura Hills, Los Angeles County, California, will be intermittently fully closed on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as needed through November 30, as work is expedited on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing. Closures will be suspended for the Veterans Day holiday.
During closures there will be no through traffic on the affected stretch, including for cyclists and pedestrians. The Liberty Canyon Road ramps to U.S. 101 may also close periodically, but not at the same time as Agoura Road, so that one route remains available.
Drivers can detour via U.S. 101 between Chesebro Road and Liberty Canyon Road. Caltrans advises motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted signs and crew directions.
The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing spans U.S. 101 near Liberty Canyon and, once complete, will reconnect wildlife habitat on both sides of the Santa Monica Mountains. It is among the largest urban wildlife crossings under construction in the world.
