Detroit Tree Lighting Is November 20, 4 to 9 p.m., at Campus Martius Park: 23rd Annual, Free with Over a Million Lights
Campus Martius Park (800 Woodward Ave) in downtown Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, hosts the 23rd annual Detroit Tree Lighting on November 20 from 4 to 9 p.m., presented by the DTE Foundation and produced by the Downtown Detroit Partnership, free to attend (cost: free).
More than a million lights will illuminate the park, with live entertainment, Olympic figure skaters and food trucks; this year's tree, a Michigan-grown Norway spruce, arrived at the park on November 4. The park's skating rink season follows the lighting (see the organizer's site).
See downtowndetroit.org for the evening's schedule.
