Thursday, November 5, 2026 · Justice · GSM News

San Diego police served a search warrant on the morning of Nov. 5 at a home in the 2100 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in the Ocean Beach neighborhood and arrested two men in connection with a Halloween case in which at least 15 children received gummies that turned out to contain psilocybin. According to the San Diego Police Department, on Halloween night, Oct. 31, several bags of psilocybin-laced gummies were left on the home's porch and were taken as candy by children aged 1 to 6. Parents who found the packaging suspicious confronted the residents and called police, saving the gummies and turning them over; testing confirmed they contained psilocybin.

In the Nov. 5 search, police found a bag of gummies identical to those handed out on Halloween, more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana, more than 25 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a working digital scale, packaging materials and drug ledgers, as well as an illegally possessed rifle, a partially assembled handgun and dozens of unfired rounds.

Michael Goff, 80, and Sean Michael Foster, 45, were arrested and booked into San Diego County Jail. Goff is suspected of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and Foster of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. San Diego code enforcement investigators also responded and opened a separate investigation into unpermitted living structures on the property. Police asked anyone with information to call the narcotics unit at 619-531-2468, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 888-580-8477.
