Tennessee Guard Nya Robertson Cleared by Restraining Order, Makes Season Debut on the Road

University of Tennessee women's basketball guard Nya Robertson has obtained a temporary restraining order and will make her season debut on the night of November 5, when the team plays at Coppin State. The court granted the restraining order against the NCAA on November 2. Robertson is one of the plaintiffs in Josie Wheeler's lawsuit against the NCAA, seeking an additional year of eligibility. The 5-foot-7 fifth-year guard played for Tennessee last season but was sidelined at the start of this season by the eligibility dispute. The restraining order runs for 10 days, expiring November 13, and the court has set a hearing for November 16 on next steps. While the order is in effect, Robertson can also play in home games against the University of New Haven on November 10 and Middle Tennessee State on November 12, in addition to the November 5 road game. Tennessee opened its season with a 109-62 win over Duquesne. The November 5 game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern in Baltimore.
