Dallas City Council appoints Arun Agarwal chair of the Park and Recreation Board
The Dallas City Council approved a slate of board and commission appointments at its November 5 meeting, naming Arun Agarwal, an Asian American community member, as chair of the Park and Recreation Board, which oversees planning and management of Dallas's parks, recreation facilities and green spaces.
The council also appointed Mickie Bragalone to the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission and Rachel Hayden to the Board of Adjustment. Mayor Eric Johnson presided, with 14 members present and one absent.
Members also received a winter-weather preparedness briefing and heard an address by the mayor of Monterrey, Mexico, Dallas's sister city. (Source: Dallas City Council)
