Vanderhall Recalls About 190 Brawley GTS Electric ROVs Over Seat Belt Lockup Hazard

Thursday, November 5, 2026 · Life · GSM News

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on November 5 that Vanderhall North America has recalled about 190 Brawley GTS electric recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs).

According to the CPSC notice, the seat belts in the recalled vehicles can permanently lock up in the fully retracted position. If that happens, riders are unable to reset the seat belt and put it on while the vehicle is operating, posing injury and crash hazards.

Consumers should stop using the recalled vehicles immediately and contact an authorized Vanderhall dealer to schedule a free repair. A technician will install an insert into the seat belt guide slot on each seat that reduces the speed at which the seat belt retracts, preventing the lockup from occurring.
