CPSC Warns Consumers to Stop Using Fire Blaze Multipurpose Lighters Immediately Over Fire and Burn Hazards

Thursday, November 5, 2026 · Life · GSM News

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a product safety warning on November 5 urging consumers to stop using Fire Blaze multipurpose lighters immediately.

According to the CPSC warning, the lighters violate the mandatory standard for multipurpose lighters because they do not have the required child-resistant mechanisms, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards. The lighters also failed to meet the pre-market lighter submission requirement, which is needed to demonstrate that a lighter features child-resistant mechanisms and complies with U.S. regulations.

The CPSC urges consumers to stop using the lighters immediately and dispose of them in accordance with local disposal requirements, and not to sell or give away the hazardous lighters.
