Korean Streamer HAchubby Reveals Cancer Diagnosis on Stream: Heading to Korea for Treatment, Cancels TwitchCon

Korean IRL streamer HAchubby told viewers during her November 4 stream in the United States that she has been diagnosed with cancer, and confirmed the news in a post on her own X account on November 5, saying the cancer may be close to spreading, that she will go to Korea right away for treatment, and that she has cancelled her TwitchCon plans. She said doctors do not yet know the stage of the cancer, and she has not shared what type of cancer it is.
According to Dexerto, HAchubby began her November 4 stream saying she was expecting news from doctors after undergoing testing. Almost two hours into the stream, after a brief pause, she broke into tears and told fans, "They said that I have cancer." She added: "They still don't know what stage it is. They don't know the details yet." A few hours later she noted that she feels pain only in one specific part of her body. TalkEsport reported that, through her Korean translator on stream, doctors had found "some aggressive things" during examinations.
After the stream, HAchubby wrote on X: "I was diagnosed with cancer today. It seems like it may be close to spreading, so I'm planning to go to Korea right away for treatment. Sadly, I had to cancel my TwitchCon plans. Please don't worry too much. I found a good doctor, and I'll keep streaming from Korea, too." Both outlets reported that she had initially planned to attend TwitchCon before heading to Korea, but will now travel directly; her hospital in the United States will transfer her medical records to Korea so her new doctors can take over her care.
HAchubby is a Twitch streamer known for IRL and chatting content, broadcasting primarily in English and connecting Korean and international audiences. She said in her post that she will keep streaming from Korea. She has not shared the type of cancer or the city where she will be treated, and both outlets said they would not speculate on either.
