San Diego County Medical Examiner Seeks Public's Help Identifying Children and Young Adults in Decades-Old Cases

Thursday, November 5, 2026 · California · GSM News

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office, in San Diego County, California, on November 5 asked the public to help put names to several children and young adults who remain unidentified in cases that span decades, hoping new attention will help identify them.

To bring new attention to these cases, the office works closely with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), NamUs, Rady Children's Hospital, and a forensic artist, the county said.

Any information from the public could help restore names to these children and young adults and bring answers to their families.
