Charlotte's Gold Line Adjusts Three Times in November for Parade and Marathon Days

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, announced on November 2 that the Gold Line streetcar will adjust service three times in November for large Uptown events. No bus bridge will operate during the changes; riders can use bus routes along the corridor instead.
For the Veterans Day Parade on November 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Gold Line runs only between the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) and Sunnyside Station, with the CTC-to-French Street segment suspended; alternate bus routes are 1, 7 and 8. For the Novant Marathon on November 14, Gold Line service starts at 11:30 a.m. instead of the usual 8:06 a.m. Saturday start, with alternate routes 1, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 17 and 27. For the Thanksgiving Eve Parade on November 25, from 4 to 9 p.m., the Gold Line again runs only between CTC and Sunnyside.
CATS encourages riders to subscribe to Rider's Alerts for detailed travel information before each event and to plan trips with the CATS-Pass app; customer support is at 704-336-7433.
