Six New Murals Brighten Salt Lake City's North Temple Corridor in a $150,000 Public Art Program

Friday, November 6, 2026 · City · GSM News

Six new murals have been completed along the North Temple corridor in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, the Mayor's Office announced on November 4. The program was led by the Salt Lake City Community Reinvestment Agency (CRA) in partnership with the Salt Lake City Arts Council's Public Art Program.

The CRA allocated $150,000 to the North Temple Mural Program, pairing six local artists with businesses and property owners to turn building walls into public art. The Arts Council helped select the artists from its pre-qualified pool; the works reflect the neighborhood's character and diversity and support the corridor's ongoing revitalization.

The six murals and artists: Trevor Dahl at Red Iguana 2 (866 W. South Temple), Cole Eisenhour at Rancho Market (140 N. 900 W.), Trent Call at ELJ Growth (120 N. 900 W.), Matt Monsoon at Promontory Place Apartments (1025 W. North Temple), Brooklyn Ottens at 44 North Apartments (44 N. 1000 W.) and Caro Nilsson at La Diana Market and Taqueria (56 S. 900 W.). 'Public art is an important part of how we invest in neighborhoods,' said project coordinator Taylee Foulger, adding that the murals celebrate local talent, support existing businesses and make North Temple more inviting for residents and visitors.
