Pittsburgh's Schenley Skating Rink Reopens Its Ice Season in Mid-November

The Schenley Park Skating Rink (10341 Overlook Drive) in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, reopens its ice season in mid-November. Opened in 1975, the rink is an ice surface from November through March and a roller surface from May through August. The city's parks page was updated October 1 with this season's schedule.
Public skate sessions run weekly — three on Sundays and four on Saturdays, with evening sessions on other days, including adults-only sessions, a family night and a college-ID discount night. Sessions cap at 300 skaters, registration closes 30 minutes before each session ends, and tickets are sold online and at the box office.
Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and for veterans with ID, and $3 for youth; skate rental is $3 and sharpening $10. On holidays, the rink is closed on Thanksgiving, November 26, offers a single 1:30 p.m. session on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, closes on Christmas Day, and is open on New Year's Day 2027.
