Dallas, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys announced on November 5 that they have nominated tight end Jake Ferguson for the 2026 Salute to Service Award.

The award, presented jointly by the NFL and USAA, honors players, coaches and staff who excel in supporting service members, veterans and military families, with each of the league's 32 teams nominating one person.

Since being drafted by the Cowboys in 2022, Ferguson has long been involved in military community service, including taking part in character education programs at the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, leading Arlington school district students in learning the leadership stories of Medal of Honor recipients, visiting Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth with USAA in October, and partnering with Black Rifle Coffee on a Veterans Day campaign to help eliminate veterans' medical debt.

Fans can vote for him once a day at NFL.com/SaluteFanVote through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 30. Three finalists will be announced in January 2027.
