Friday, November 6, 2026 · Society · GSM News

PORTLAND, Ore. — Preliminary results in Portland's City Council elections were updated on the evening of November 5, with the winners of six seats across two districts effectively settled. All percentages below are preliminary counts subject to later updates.

According to Multnomah County's preliminary tally, Tiffany Koyama Lane, Angelita Morillo and Steve Novick won in District 3, and Mitch Green, Olivia Clark and Eric Zimmerman won in District 4. Multnomah County Chair Shannon Singleton led in early counting with about 57.3 percent. Local commentary noted that incumbent councilors generally won reelection comfortably.

Meanwhile, voters rejected Ballot Measure 26-267, which would have amended the city charter to let residents propose and vote on the use of about 2 percent of the city's discretionary budget, starting in July 2027. Unofficial statewide returns as of 5 p.m. on November 6 showed 62.8 percent voting no. The county elections division will release further updates, with final results to be certified by November 30.
