[Video] Hans Zimmer's Onboard Music for Qatar Airways Debuts: Five-Track Burgundy Symphony Launches in Doha
Qatar Airways on Nov. 6 unveiled its new onboard signature music created in partnership with composer Hans Zimmer, and passengers can hear the new composition on its flights starting the same day. The music is featured on Burgundy Symphony, a bespoke five-track album that draws on Qatar's culture and the different stages of a journey; one track, The Orchard, takes its inspiration from the indoor garden at Hamad International Airport in Doha.
The launch was celebrated at Hans Zimmer's concert in Doha on Nov. 6, where audiences watched a specially created film on the creative process behind the collaboration alongside a preview of the music. Qatar Airways has also released the collection on its official YouTube channel for listeners beyond the cabin.
The partnership was first announced in July 2025, when the airline commissioned Zimmer to create a distinct audio identity for the passenger journey. Zimmer, an Academy Award and Grammy Award winner known for his film scores, created an original sonic identity for an airline's full onboard experience for the first time in this collaboration.
