Follow-Up: Katseye Postpones Chicago and Minneapolis Shows, Says Megan Is Recovering From a Concussion

Friday, November 6, 2026 · Society · GSM News

Girl group Katseye's Wildworld Tour has postponed two more shows. The United Center in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, and the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, announced on social media on November 5 that the Chicago show scheduled for that night and the Minneapolis show scheduled for November 7 had been postponed. The group then said on Instagram Stories that its label had made the decision because member Megan Skiendiel is recovering from a concussion. It is the tour's third postponement in a week, after the Detroit show was called off about 30 minutes before showtime on November 3.

"We're sorry to share that tonight's KATSEYE show at the United Center has been postponed due to Megan's illness," the United Center wrote. "Please do not travel to the venue, as doors will not open for tonight's show. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience." The Target Center posted a similar notice. Both venues said purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates; the United Center said VIP packages, including soundcheck upgrades, will carry over as well, and refunds will be available to fans who cannot attend the new date. No new dates have been announced for any of the three shows; the group said they would be confirmed soon and asked fans to hold on to their tickets.

"The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis as Megan is recovering from a concussion," the group's Instagram Stories post read. "We are incredibly sorry to disappoint our fans. We know how much you've been looking forward to these shows, and that many of you have traveled long distances to be there. We don't take that lightly, and we're truly sorry for the disappointment." The statement closed by thanking fans for their continued love, support and understanding. When the Detroit show was postponed, the group said only that Megan was "unwell and unable to perform," without naming a specific injury; the concussion disclosure is the first time the nature of her condition has been made public. Neither the group nor its label has said when or how Skiendiel was injured, and no timetable has been given for her return to the stage.

The last-minute Detroit postponement divided fans online. According to USA Today, one mother who brought her young daughter to the arena said in a TikTok video that she learned of the postponement through TikTok, and her daughter was seen crying in the clip; another fan wrote on X that canceling 30 minutes before the show was "unprofessional," noting how many people had flown in for it. Other fans defended the group, arguing that a relentless schedule has left members repeatedly injured or ill and that the group needs a break.

According to the group's official website, the tour's next scheduled show is on November 10 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and no change to that date has been announced. Skiendiel is 20. According to PEOPLE, she sprained her ankle during tour rehearsals in August, and the group withdrew from a festival appearance at the time on doctors' advice.
