Follow-Up: Jen Affleck Posts a Second Throwback Clip as Zac Affleck Calls His Postpartum Remarks 'Horrible'

The divorce dispute between reality stars Jen Affleck and Zac Affleck of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has taken another turn. Jen filed for divorce on November 3 at the Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo, in Utah County, Utah. According to PEOPLE, on November 5 and 6 she posted two throwback clips from the marriage on TikTok — one capturing Zac's disparaging remarks about her postpartum body, and a second showing the couple arguing in their bathroom over a dirty towel and the division of housework. Zac then responded to the first clip in the comments of his own video, calling what he said "horrible" and something that "should have never been said."
GSM's previous follow-up reported the first clip: Jen said it was filmed two weeks postpartum, as she was trying to become an influencer, and Zac can be heard off camera disparaging her appearance. Jen captioned it "He was never my biggest supporter," answering Zac's statement in his lengthy video the same day that he would always support her and be her "biggest fan."
In the newly posted second clip, set in the couple's bathroom, Zac asked Jen why a towel was on the ground and she replied that it was dirty, according to PEOPLE's account. When Zac asked, "Are there no other towels?" Jen said: "I've been doing all of your laundry for the past — forever. If I got a little bit more help, maybe it'd be nice. Maybe we'd have some towels." Zac threw his hands up as she spoke and then walked away.
Answering a follower who challenged him in the comments of his video, Zac wrote a response reported by Us Weekly, Page Six, Extra and other outlets: "This was a video from 2022. Obviously horrible and should have never been said. When I saw the video today, I was absolutely shocked I had said that. I said a lot of horrible and hurtful things, but I have tried my best to learn and grow." PEOPLE said Zac did not immediately return its separate request for comment on the new clips.
Jen and Zac met in 2018 and married in 2019. They share three children — Nora, 5, Luca, 3, and Penelope, 1 — and Jen is currently pregnant with their fourth child. Alongside her November 3 divorce filing, Jen submitted a proposed parenting plan whose details have not been made public. In his November 5 video, Zac admitted he had made plenty of mistakes in the marriage, said the children were the couple's shared priority and voiced hope for a healthy co-parenting relationship. This round of posts and responses played out entirely on TikTok; no new development in the court case itself has been publicly reported. (Source: PEOPLE)
