The first forum was held in Macao in December 2025 and issued the "Macao Initiative on Mutual Learning, Inheritance and Innovation Among Civilizations." Macao's Cultural Affairs Bureau said the forum puts the Global Civilization Initiative into practice and leverages Macao's role as a base for exchange and cooperation where Chinese culture is the mainstream and diverse cultures coexist, building the city into an important window for exchanges between Chinese and Western civilizations.
