Friday, November 6, 2026 · States · GSM News

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik announced on November 6 that 32 communities across Ohio will receive a total of $17.5 million in Neighborhood Revitalization and Critical Infrastructure grants to complete critical infrastructure and neighborhood improvement projects that enhance quality of life.

The funded projects include upgraded water and sewer infrastructure, flood and drainage improvements, road and sidewalk reconstruction, and park enhancements, according to the Governor's Office. "Reliable water and sewer systems, safe streets, and strong neighborhoods create communities where families can live their very best lives," DeWine said. "The investments we're making today build a better foundation for the future by helping our local partners make essential improvements."

The announcement appeared in the Governor's week in review for the week ending November 6; other items in the same review — rural health transformation awards, the designation of 260 federal Opportunity Zones and the Chillicothe revitalization projects — have been reported by GSM separately.
