Free Veterans Day Admission at San Bernardino County Regional Parks: Five Parks and Calico Ghost Town Welcome Veterans on Nov. 11

San Bernardino County Regional Parks, in San Bernardino County, California, has announced free admission on Veterans Day, November 11, for veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including members of the Reserves and National Guard. Hours that day are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The five regional parks taking part are Cucamonga-Guasti, Glen Helen, Mojave Narrows, Prado and Yucaipa. The county-operated Calico Ghost Town joins them with free admission the same day; the ghost town is at 36600 Ghost Town Road in Yermo, and the department's event listing gives the same hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
County regional parks moved to winter hours on October 31 — 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in effect through May 2027 — and Veterans Day follows that schedule. In a separate notice, the department says the same five regional parks will be fully closed on Wednesday, November 18, a week after Veterans Day, so residents planning a trip that week should pick another day. Calico Ghost Town's phone line is currently down; for assistance, call the Regional Parks main number, 909-387-2757.
