A Longwood Christmas Opens Nov. 20: A Cosmic Theme and Half a Million Lights Through Jan. 10
A Longwood Christmas, the annual holiday display at Longwood Gardens, opens November 20, 2026, and runs through January 10, 2027, daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The gardens are at 1001 Longwood Road in Kennett Square, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
This year's theme is the cosmos: more than 500,000 lights fill the grounds, a rotating observatory tree anchors the conservatory display, and illuminated woodland and fountain-garden scenes run outdoors. The gardens suggest allowing at least three hours, and both the conservatory and outdoor displays are covered by admission.
The display carries no separate charge, but timed tickets are required: adult admission runs $45 to $52 by date, youth ages 5 to 18 pay $25 to $32, children 4 and under enter free, and members enter free with a timed reservation. Tickets are sold only through longwoodgardens.org, and prime evening slots typically sell out in advance. (Source: Longwood Gardens)
