Actor Jeremy London Clarifies After Plea for Job and Home Sparked 'Homeless' Headlines: 'I Have a Condo in Florida'

Saturday, November 7, 2026 · Society · GSM News

American actor Jeremy London posted on X on November 5 that his boss was going through some kind of mental crisis and that he might lose his job and home, asking followers for help finding work and a place to live and saying, "I'm not ok." Celebrity outlets then reported on the plea, with some coverage making his situation sound close to homelessness. On November 6, London posted again on X to clarify that he owns a condo in Florida and is not homeless, saying he had simply been in shock at his boss's behavior and did not want to go back to Florida.

According to People, London wrote in the original November 5 post, which has since been deleted: "Guys... my boss is going through some kind of mental crisis and I may be losing my job and home... This can't be happening again." He added: "If anyone has a job and home for me out there, please let me know. I love working a real job on top of acting. I'm a good person. Why does this keep happening to me?? I'm not ok." In comments he said he was having a hard time breathing and had had zero sleep, that he was praying his boss was just having a manic episode of some kind, and that it was completely out of nowhere and he was in shock. When a commenter expressed surprise that such a busy actor could be in that position, he replied that he wished that were true, that he keeps other jobs to support himself, and that most actors starve otherwise. Asked what kind of work he was looking for, he said that alongside acting he has taken on hands-on jobs including cutting trees, laying stone and running heavy machinery, mostly outdoor work, and that he was up for new adventures.

According to Page Six, on November 6 London called out People's coverage on X, writing: "Guys ... I have a condo in Florida. People mag out here making me look homeless. I was just in shock from my boss' behavior and didn't want to have to go back to Florida. Jesus, they really have nothing else to report on." Less than an hour later he added: "Being a celebrity of any kind is so stupid. Our tweets should not be news." In the comment section of an E! News article about his original post, he also reassured fans that it was blown out of proportion, writing that he had a condo in Florida and just did not want to leave Pennsylvania (PA) because he fell in love with it. "I was definitely sad and in shock. But I'm not destitute. Apologies for confusing wording in the moment," he wrote.

London was born on November 7, 1972, in San Diego, California, and turned 54 on November 7. He was a series regular on I'll Fly Away and Party of Five, appeared in the 1995 cult comedy Mallrats, and is best known as Chandler Hampton on the family drama 7th Heaven. According to People, his IMDb page lists about 20 upcoming appearances, including Twilight of the Mallrats. As of November 7, he had not announced a new job or a move, and no public account from his boss had been reported.
