Three Metrolink Lines Suspended This Weekend: Ventura County, Orange County and IE-OC Lines Halt November 7-8

Saturday, November 7, 2026 · California · GSM News

Metrolink, Southern California's commuter rail service, has announced that three of its lines will not operate on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, 2026, while it completes maintenance and rehabilitation projects. No alternate transportation will be provided, so weekend riders will need to make other plans.

The Ventura County Line will not operate between Los Angeles Union Station and the Ventura-East Station, and riders are directed to the Ventura County Transportation Commission for other public transportation options. Orange County Line trains will not operate between Los Angeles Union Station and Oceanside, and Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains will not operate between San Bernardino and Oceanside, as the tracks are fully closed for the work.

Metrolink says the infrastructure work is intended to protect the long-term safety and reliability of the system, apologized for the inconvenience, and said it will keep looking for ways to minimize the service impacts of critical work windows. The same advisory lists an Antelope Valley Line suspension on November 21-22 and modified 91/Perris Valley Line service that weekend. (Source: Metrolink)
