Police Pursuit Ends in Fatal Crash on the 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park; Three Dead

BALDWIN PARK, California — A car crashed into a center divider on the 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles County, in the early hours of November 7, killing three people. The California Highway Patrol said that shortly after 4 a.m., officers tried to stop a car on the westbound 10 near Azusa Avenue; the driver refused to yield and a pursuit followed, with DUI suspected. During the chase, the car, carrying four people, struck the divider at the Francisquito Avenue off-ramp: one person died at the scene and two more died after being taken to a hospital, while the condition of the remaining passenger has not been released. CHP issued a traffic alert for the Francisquito off-ramp, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
