The Kansas City Chiefs beat the New York Jets 35-12 on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, snapping a two-game losing streak and improving to 6-2, while the Jets never reached the end zone in the Week 9 game.

Kansas City led only 14-12 at halftime. Running back Kenneth Walker III caught touchdown passes of 7 and 25 yards from Patrick Mahomes in the first half, while the Jets stayed close with four field goals. Just before halftime Mahomes hurt his right elbow on a sack by Jets rookie David Bailey and lost a fumble, walking off holding his arm, but he did not miss a snap and played the whole second half.

The Chiefs outscored New York 21-0 after halftime. Tight end Travis Kelce ran for a one-yard touchdown, Walker added a two-yard rushing score for his third touchdown of the day, and Emmett Johnson capped the scoring with a six-yard run. Kansas City's defense kept the Jets out of the end zone all afternoon, with George Karlaftis and Chris Jones recording two sacks each.

Walker ran 18 times for 102 yards and caught four passes for 41 yards, tying Jahmyr Gibbs for the league lead with 11 total touchdowns this season. Mahomes finished 23-of-31 for 242 yards and two touchdown passes with no interceptions, and Kelce caught four passes for 72 yards.

After opening the season with five straight wins and then losing two in a row, Kansas City steadied itself near the top of the AFC West. Both teams play again on November 15.
