The Dallas Cowboys rallied to beat the Indianapolis Colts 27-23 on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, improving to 4-5 while the Colts fell to 2-7, in a Week 9 game decided in the final minute.

Indianapolis took a 23-20 lead with 1:37 left on Spencer Shrader's 50-yard field goal, moments after Dallas kicker Brandon Aubrey had missed a field goal that would have put the Cowboys ahead. Dallas took over with no timeouts left.

On the first play of the drive, Dak Prescott hit Ryan Flournoy for 46 yards deep into Colts territory, and running back Javonte Williams scored on a one-yard run with 1:08 remaining to put Dallas up 27-23. On the Colts' final possession, rookie safety Caleb Downs intercepted Daniel Jones for the first interception of his career, sealing the win.

Dallas needed help from its defense to get there: defensive tackle Quinnen Williams forced a fumble by Colts running back Jonathan Taylor that linebacker Shemar James recovered at a critical moment. Prescott also threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jake Ferguson on fourth-and-2 and a 44-yard touchdown to CeeDee Lamb. For Indianapolis, Ashton Dulin scored on a 55-yard touchdown play and Shrader also made a 59-yard field goal.

The win keeps Dallas in the NFC East race, while Indianapolis absorbed another late home loss. Both teams play again on November 15.
