Giants Beat Eagles 19-11 for First Win in Philadelphia Since 2013: Rookie Zvada Kicks Four Field Goals

The New York Giants beat the Philadelphia Eagles 19-11 on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, their first win in that stadium since October 27, 2013, improving to 5-2-1 while the Eagles fell to 2-7 with a seventh straight loss in the Week 9 game.
Rookie kicker Dominic Zvada gave New York a 6-0 lead with field goals of 53 and 49 yards. Philadelphia answered when Saquon Barkley ran for a three-yard touchdown and Joe Milton added a two-point conversion run, putting the Eagles ahead 8-6 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy left briefly after hurting his hip on a keeper, and backup Jameis Winston led a 14-play, 76-yard drive, throwing a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end Isaiah Likely for a 13-8 lead. McCarthy returned and finished 12-of-19 for 127 yards; Winston went 6-of-8 for 71 yards and the touchdown.
Zvada added field goals of 38 and 49 yards in the fourth quarter to make it 19-8. Jake Elliott's 45-yard field goal cut it to 19-11, but the Giants' defense stopped Philadelphia's final desperation drive. New York held the Eagles to 220 total yards, and rookie linebacker Arvell Reese made 12 tackles and three sacks.
The Giants stay atop the NFC East and host the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. The Eagles' losing streak reached seven games.
