Sunday, November 8, 2026 · Music · GSM News

Olivia Rodrigo's third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, has returned to the top of the U.S. albums chart. On the Billboard 200 dated November 14, published by Billboard on November 8, the album rises from No. 2 to No. 1, earning 57,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending November 5, according to Luminate — down about 10% from the previous week. It is the album's fourth, nonconsecutive, week at No. 1.

The album was released in June and debuted at No. 1 with 485,000 equivalent album units (chart dated June 27), the biggest opening week by a solo artist in 2026. It spent its first two weeks at the summit, and all 13 of its tracks reached the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 in its debut week. It returned to No. 1 for a third week on the chart dated October 31, with 75,000 units, powered by the Expectations remix with Chappell Roan. Last week (chart dated November 7), My Chemical Romance's 20th-anniversary reissue of The Black Parade took the top spot and Rodrigo's album slipped to No. 2 with 64,000 units; this week it is back at No. 1.

In its 21 weeks on the Billboard 200, the album has never left the top five. The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the United States by equivalent album units, combining album sales, track-equivalent and streaming-equivalent units. (Source: Billboard)
