Ground Broken Nov. 7 for the Cincinnati Ohio Temple, Set to Become the State's Third

MASON, Ohio — The Cincinnati Ohio Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke ground on Saturday, November 7, in Mason, Warren County, Ohio, officially entering construction. Elder Allen Phillips, of the Presidency of the Seventy and the North America Northeast Area presidency, presided and offered a dedicatory prayer for the site and the building process, joined by local Latter-day Saints, faith leaders, government officials and community residents. As previously announced, the Cincinnati temple will be a single-story building of about 29,630 square feet at the corner of Mason-Montgomery Road and Cedar Village Drive. Once built and dedicated, it will become Ohio's third operating temple, after the Columbus and Cleveland temples. Ohio is home to about 66,000 Latter-day Saints in more than 130 wards and branches.
