Colchester Beats North Country 48-27, Bellows Falls Wins 32-8: Vermont Semifinal Winners Head to Championship Day

COLCHESTER, Vermont — Vermont's high school football playoff semifinals were played on the night of November 6, with Colchester and Bellows Falls both winning to advance to the championship tripleheader on November 14 at Burlington High School. Top seed Colchester beat No. 4 seed North Country 48-27 in the Division II semifinal to improve to 9-1, setting up a Division II final rematch of last year's championship game against No. 2 seed Fair Haven as Colchester bids to repeat. Colchester's offense stayed hot — it scored 54 in the quarterfinal — again producing efficiently behind quarterback Walker and a veteran offensive line. In Division III, Bellows Falls beat Mount Abraham/Vergennes 32-8, with star running back Jaden Bazan rushing for 223 yards, and both defending-champion favorites will chase their division titles on the same day. The two semifinal winners combined for 80 points, showcasing this season's high-powered offenses in Vermont high school football.
