DC Early Voting Runs Through November 1; Chinese-Speaking Voters Can Call 888-API-VOTE for Mandarin and Cantonese Help

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Early voting in the District of Columbia runs from October 26 through November 1, and Chinese-speaking voters could still cast ballots at any early voting center on October 31, with centers open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to voting guidance from the ACLU of the District of Columbia.
The District mailed ballots to all registered voters this year; ballots can be returned by mail — postmarked by November 3 — or in drop boxes by 8 p.m. on November 3. DC also offers same-day registration: eligible residents who have not registered may register and vote at an early voting center or an Election Day polling place with proof of DC residency.
The ACLU-DC reminds voters who face intimidation, threats or coercion to call the nonpartisan Election Protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE. The Asian Pacific American hotline, 888-API-VOTE (888-274-8683), provides assistance in multiple languages including Mandarin and Cantonese.
On Election Day, November 3, DC voters will choose a mayor, council members, the attorney general and the District's non-voting House delegate, and will decide Initiative 86.
