New York City Early Voting Reaches Day Eight; Polls Open 9 to 5 on October 31

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Early voting in New York City continued on October 31 with polls open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the second-to-last day of the early voting period for the 2026 general election, according to the city Board of Elections' Day 8 schedule.
Early voting runs from October 24 through November 1, with hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both October 31 and November 1. Voters must go to their assigned early voting site, which may differ from their Election Day poll site, and are advised to confirm the location with the board's poll-site locator before heading out.
Election Day is November 3, when city polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; anyone in line by 9 p.m. may still vote. For mail ballots, voters may apply in person at their borough Board of Elections office through November 2; completed ballots must be postmarked by November 3 and received by November 10, or delivered in person by 9 p.m. on Election Day.
The board reminded voters that after October 31 only one early voting day remains, and urged registered voters who have not yet cast a ballot to use it rather than face Election Day lines.
